I'll think of something to write about.
Well, that's not true, I've already got plenty of things to write about. We can start with the big tech news of the day. You won't see any links, simply because there's no way you can't find info on the new iPhone right now, being that it's the top story on almost every tech blog and news site....
iPhone 2.0 or 3G
The big tech news of the day is Steve Jobs keynote where he officially announced the new iteration of the iPhone. First, I have to say that it looks like a brilliant piece of hardware, and with all the rumors that turned out to be accurate, such as built in GPS, faster operation, and all the other things that everyone is swooning over.
Personally, I find it hilarious, though, that they've announced $200/$300 price tags for the new iPhone. Having used an iPhone, and the iPod Touch, I found them very lacking for the things that I want, most notably speed and storage. The new models improve quite a bit from that, which is good. I've got to wonder about all those people, though, who stood in long lines and dropped $600 on the first gen iPhone only to get the swift kick to the groin now with these new models.
This has been Apple's Modus Operandi for years, though. They release something, which is usually in some way or another, completely crippled or broken in some way. Then they'll build off that and release something new, usually at a higher price. In this case, they did fix some things before this release, and just charged their customers more for the software fixes. And this is one of the first times I've seen them release something like this without increasing the price substantially.
Oh well, I'm sure the apple-tards will be lining up to replace they're old busted hardware with the new hotness.
Anyway...
I have plenty of other things to talk about, but they'll have to wait for some other time when I'm not completely exhausted... (to give you an idea, in just this parenthetical I've had to backspace at least 6 times...)
Until next time...
