a weekend update... (dA mirror)

first and foremost!

as stated in a previous dA journal entry, i went to the aerosmith / motley crüe concert on thursday night at the target center, and in that journal i alluded to further details, however there's really no point. it was what it was. i would say it was a bit of a dissapointment... but honestly, it was about what i expected. so... oh well. i still had a good time, and it was still fun to do something.

prepare for friday!

so, after work on friday i was supposed to meet up with a couple people from work... it turned out, however, that it was a 'person' from work. she and i met at a boston's near where i work. first we ragged on the guy that didn't show up, just because he was sick... i mean, how lame is that excuse? but oh well... anyway, she got a call from a friend and dragged me with her to a kelly's bar & grill for some free texas hold 'em. it was actually pretty damned fun... i've never played outside of small get togethers with friends, so it was something new for me. people were nice, even the guys taking it really seriously... ;) i'm definitely going with her again... she says it's more fun at gator's, where i guess she does all her playing... she invited me to come with her there... and that will be the biggest mistake she ever makes! :P

enter the saturday

alright, i'll be honest. saturday was pretty much a great big nothing of a day in terms of interesting events... i did some more christmas shopping for my little girls... apart from that, i really don't want to talk about saturday...

here we have sunday!

today... ahh today. this morning i was out of cigarettes... so i did something i normally wouldn't do. normally i would hop in the car and drive my ass up the street and buy some more... today, however, i grabbed my camera and took a walk. that's some of what you see as new entries into my dA gallery. it was fun... i think i'm going to have to do it more often. the day was spent doing laundry, editing images to post on the internets, and being social on the internet, and in the real world, and, in one case, social with someone on the interwebs that i know in the real world... or something. anyway... it was pretty much a nice relaxing day... but tonight... oh tonight! man. see.... i coulda been down with a buddy playing pool at new city in minneapolis... but instead, on friday, there was a decision by the powers that be, that we of the glorious management staff at my place of business, would need to come in over the weekend for a few hours and clean up so that the place would be presentable for the CEO, who will be in town tomorrow... of course, we aren't sure he's going to visit... but, you know... just in case. so of course, instead of being out on the town, and enjoying my life, and possibly shooting pictures of things that everyone might find astheticly pleasing... i'm sitting here, typing away...

been slow going... i've actually just picked up 2 more pints... ooh... mcdonalds is running their eggnog shake again, i need to make a note to go there and get one... yum!
